OEP Couplings manufactures a complete line of high-performance, innovative shaft couplings, precisely machined from advanced materials, using the most sophisticated machining technology available. The OEP Coupling division of Oren Elliott Products, Inc. is a continuation of an already long history of manufacturing excellence.
At first glance, Oren Elliott Products, Inc. appears to be a very modern and possibly recently formed manufacturer, with the latest in sophisticated multiaxis CNC machine tools, 3D design software, and a customer base that includes Fortune 500 companies on the cutting edge of technology. Beneath the surface, however, lies a rich tradition of precision machining in production quantities. Since 1925, screw-machined sub-components have been produced at the Plant One facility, originally under the name American Steel Packaging. At the height of production during World War II, American Steel Packaging (later to become All Star Products) produced millions of screw machine parts and electromechanical assemblies for the allied war effort.
OEP Couplings, a division of Oren Elliott Products, Inc., makes use of this machining prowess, offering a full line of flexible and rigid shaft couplings. The couplings’ machined sub-components are produced on CNC Swiss screw machines with live tooling, capable of holding micron tolerances, under a quality system registered to the ISO9001:2000 standard. Based in rural northwest Ohio, OEP Couplings draws from a local labor pool rich in machining expertise, and benefits from a relatively low cost of living, enabling OEP to offer considerable value to customers in the US, Europe, and Asia.
OEP takes great pride in long-standing relationships with many of our customers, including industry leaders in such fields as semiconductor fabrication equipment, robotics, fluid power, pump systems, analytical devices, food processing equipment, and medical equipment.
Vice President and Founder
Mr. Elliott's 51 year career in manufacturing started in 1961 when he began working for All Star Products. 22 years later, Oren purchased this company and renamed it Oren Elliott Products, Inc. Mr. Elliott's career spanned all levels of management, from the shop floor to the boardroom. Under his guidance, OEP evolved from a struggling company to a powerhouse in their industry. Oren Elliott died on 21 June 2012 at the age of 79 and will be missed.
With over 30 years of experience in all aspects of business accounting, Mrs. Elliott made key contributions to the transition of the company from All Star Products to Oren Elliott Products, Inc., establishing accounting records and procedures that generate cogent financial data for management analysis. Although now semi- retired, Mrs. Elliott still oversees much of the tax accounting, and sits on the Board of Directors.
Karen Hurtig manages all accounting functions, including preparation and analysis of financial reports, management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting procedures. She has 20 years of experience in accounting and office management, and sits on the Board of Directors.
Mr. Neadstine has over twenty years' experience in precision machining, in such demanding fields as orthopedics and robotics. He has excelled in close-tolerance work in challenging materials and complex geometries at every level, including programming, setup, and operation of multi-axis CNC lathes and machining centers. He's also been involved in the management and supervision of other machinists, in tooling and fixture design, in estimation and quoting, and in the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques.
Plant One Manager
Steven Elliott has over twenty years' experience in manufacturing management, including over fifteen years as OEP Plant One Manager. He has a bachelor's degree in mathematics with honors and a minor in physics from the University of Toledo, and oversees engineering, sales, and marketing with respect to shaft couplings. Mr. Elliott sits on the Board of Directors.
Plant Two Production Manager
Leo Font has over 15 years of experience in manufacturing management, and is expert in such diverse manufacturing disciplines as injection-molding, stamping, and CNC machining. He has managed production at OEP's Plant Two production CNC machining facility for over 5 years, and sits on the Board of Directors.
Plant One Production Manager
Michelle Elliott has managed production at the OEP Plant One assembly and stamping facility for over seven years. She attended Wright State University and The Ohio State University. Ms. Elliott has extensive experience with many assembly processes and techniques, particularly related to electronics. Ms. Elliott also oversees human resources functions for Plant One.
